Hi! I’ve been playing a while on Stardew Valley (believe it or not on my mom’s Tesla). I’m on the day that Marnie just gave my farmer avatar a dog which I’ve been having some technical trouble typing a name for him or her (the window won’t let me type a name for it because there’s a window overlap). Here are numerous questions I have: Can I expand my inventory? Can I upgrade my rusty sword? Can I use my dog to help my character dig for Robin’s missing axe? How do I meet up with everyone in Pelican Town quickly? How do I pay Robin to build a well for me? Can I enhance my avatar somehow so he can walk faster and not exhaust as fast (i.e. expanding his exhaustion meter)? Is there a way to win Pelican Town’s (I think annual) egg hunt or the game is only set for Abigail to win no matter how many eggs my character gets? Can recipes be collected other than for buying them? How do I craft stuff? Why isn’t this fandom part of fandom’s app? How am I supposed to know everyone’s likes and dislikes besides that information already being on fandom (no villager will never tell me that information)? If it’s raining in the game I don’t have to water my plants that day?
What's on your mind?

On the title screenif you click the e in stardew a little alien will appear!
Just Updated
Invest, invest, invest.
You won't make money by keeping it, instead spend it all on seeds, a better fishing rod, some bait, things that will give you more money in return. Early on buy as many seeds as possible, even if it makes you broke, because once they're done growing you'll have a lot more money than if you hadn't spent all your money on seeds.
This is one isn't really helpful, more of a fun little thing you can do!
You can put hats on horses and on the alien rarecrow!!
I knew you could put hats on horses but I only recently found out about the rarecrow so I thought I'd share it in case anyone else here doesn't know.
What is the bride's name in stardew valley? (I am talking about the one thing you can get in a mod)
I'm taking finals this week life sucks
Hey everyone, here's another tip for you!
This one is for those of you struggling with the community center. If you hover your mouse over something you need for a bundle the community center icon (to the right of your inventory) will begin to glow. This is very helpful if you aren't sure if you need something or not for a bundle!
Good luck on your journey to complete the community center and if you ever need help, feel free to ask! See you all next week! :)
I'm new to this wiki. I am a HUGE fan of stardew valley.
I decided to start this thing where every week I will share a tip or fact about stardew
This week's is one a lot of you may know but some people don't so I'm gonna share ot anyway.
First weekly tip:
When a new season starts don't get rid of all your dead crops with a pickaxe or axe, instead use your scythe (sorry if I spelled that wrong) to quickly get rid of the dead crops
I hope you all have a great week and I'll be sharing another tip soon! 🙂
While reading comments on some pages I noticed that a lot of people reply to old comments so I would like to remind everyone to try and avoid replying to and/or upvoting old posts/comments, since it can be very annoying for some people to get a notif from a conversation that ended months even years ago.
I understand that because this is a pretty inactive wiki it is easy to scroll just a tiny bit and find posts from years ago especially on the comments of some pages, but please try your best to check the date before replying.
Thanks for reading this and I hope you have a great day!
I’m not new to the game, but I’m new here! My main character is Ellis, a female who wants to be everybody’s friend. I’m going to make a webcomic based on Ellis’ life (not really that related to my gameplay, actually) when I can find a free webcomic-making site that lets you draw your own pictures (meaning no Storyboard That or anything along those lines). Hope you’re having a good day!

P.S: let me know if you’d like details on the webcomic’s premise!
Here are some tips I rarely see mentioned. Hopefully you won’t know some of these. And feel free to mention any of your own little tips.
1. Torches can be put on fences! Super cute for the aesthetic.
2. Grass can be put basically anywhere. Houses, barns, the greenhouse, and so on. Have fun filling Pierre’s house with grass.
3. You're able to change the color of gates by putting an iron or hardwood fence down and then putting the gate on top of it!
4. You can move chests without emptying everything out. Just select an empty spot in your own inventory and repeatedly interact with the chest until it "hops".
5. Prismatic shards in your junimo hut will make the junimos rainbow colored! So do most gems. (E.g. a diamond will make your junimos white)
6. If you put a prismatic shard OR a rainbow shell with a piece of clothing in a sewing machine, you can manually pick the color of the clothing instead of dying it.
7. You can put wood, stone, or dark signs on a fish pond and it'll display the fish and how many fish you have. (Also you can place Sign of the Vessel.)
8. If both you and a friend (or more!) talk to Robin and request something to be built at the same time, both will be built together.
9. You know the little drawers on the side tables? If you place one of these tables on top of any table, you can then take the top one off and rotate it so it doesn't show the little drawer thing and looks like a normal table. A very oddly specific thing, but it's great for decorating.
10. If you desperately need to talk to Robin on Tuesday; wait for her to walk by the desk in the morning and you can build or buy things from her that day.
11. You can destroy bushes on the riverland, hilltop, or forest farm with your axe.
12. You can upgrade other players’ tools if you place it before yours in your inventory. So, if you want to upgrade an silver pickaxe, put it before your iridium one. This way you can have multiple sets of tools or upgrade tools for friends.
13. If you place forage into seed makers, it’ll produce a wild seed or two. Especially helpful if you need some tea bushes.
14. You can fill up your watering can with your kitchen sink and the water tub in the greenhouse.
15. Stone, seaweed, sea urchins and coral can be put into fish tanks. And most foraging items you can find on the beach like clams and cockles. Best of all, you can put hats on the sea urchins!! Also, if you pick up a fish tank with coral and put it back down, the coral with change appearance. There’s some cool designs.
16. Instead of chopping down broken fences, you can just put a new one on it and it’ll be repaired.
17. If you put a bomb in a barn or coop next to the hay, it’ll blow up the hay and you can take hay out of the fodder. This is helpful if you want to store lots of hay and don’t have enough silos.
18. To make the witch not turn your slimes black in the slime hutch, place a “Wicked Statue”.
19. You may put rugs anywhere inside- like the sewers, houses, and the mines.
20. WORK BOOTS ARE VERY HARD TO FIND (I’ve collected all hats and footwear except them.)
Hi, my SDV has a problem. The game cannot see the save files (aka farms) even though they are being created. I have checked and seen that it has nothing to day with any of the 128 mods I have installed. When I boot up the game (using the normal unmodded game) and go to the load menu, it says there are no saved games, even though i can see them in finder. I'm on macos high seirra, on a 2011 macbook air. I have a screenshot of my problem. Also, is this the right place to ask for help with problems? On the left of my screen is the farms and on the right is Stardew
I’m sorta new and I was wondering where the best places to get hardwood are?
Basically, throughout all the pages, I’ve been seeing a bunch red names, which means it’s a nonexistent page, I’m not a content mod, and I don’t really understand the whole game, so could someone make them?
Hey! So, I'm not always here on the wiki, which I'm really sorry about (school, friends, life, yk. always busy), so I'm opening up leadership applications so this wiki can maintain a clean state all the time. I will most likely choose 1-2 admins, 2 content moderators, and 1-2 discussion mods (depending on how many applications I get)

I have been playing Stardew valley regularly for about a month, an hour a day plus whatever I have had in the previous 2 years I have owned it. However some people on this wiki have made it clear they have 1000+ hours on the game (to that I say “amazing”) and I have been wondering: What your best strategies are for early development?
