Artifacts are items that can be donated to the Museum. Certain artifacts will yield a reward from Gunther as well as milestones from total amount of items donated. Artifacts can be found by plowing worm tiles with a hoe, hoeing in the mines, and are a rare drop from monsters or in treasure chests while fishing lost books can also be found in worn tiles.

Artifacts can be found in the following ways:
- Using the Hoe on an Artifact Spot. Different parts of the map will produce different artifacts. Artifact Spots are much more common in winter.
- Using the Hoe on dirt in The Mines and the Skull Cavern.
- Killing Monsters.
- Solving Secret Notes.
- Breaking open Artifact Troves.
- Fishing for treasure chests.
- Breaking Bone Nodes.
- Processing Geodes
