Monster Compendium is a power book that provides a permanent 3% chance for loot received from slain Monsters to be doubled. Additional readings give +100 experience to the Combat Skill.

Monster Compendium has a 0.01% chance to drop from slain Monsters, with a 0.015% increase per monster slain until acquired, and cannot be dropped until at least 10 monsters have been slain. After being received, the chance is reduced and stays at 0.05%.
Alternatively, Monster Compendium has an approximate 9% chance to be purchasable from the Bookseller for 
20,000g, after the player has reached year 3.
Other Uses[]
- Traded to the Bookseller in exchange for one Slime Egg-Press or one Slime Incubator if the book has been read previously.
- Used as a black dye in the Sewing Machine.
- Synergizes with the bonus from wearing a
Burglar's Ring.
