The Slime Hutch is used to raise slimes on the farm. It is one of the more late-game buildings, requiring Iridium. It can be constructed by Robin.
It is recommended to build your Slime Hutch near a water source. Once built, up to 20 slime eggs may be hatched in the incubator within, which are obtained from killing slimes in the dungeon, and sometimes as rewards. Inside the hutch, a watering can may be used to fill 4 water troughs, which will allow the slimes to produce slime balls. The slimes will attack so be careful! The slime trough can be made safer by acquiring the Slime Charmer Ring, which eliminates damage taken from slimes.
After the player has had their Slime Hutch for a while, one night while they are asleep, a witch may come and fly over the Slime Hutch on a broom, laughing the whole time. This causes all slimes to turn black.
